Title: Monument
Gear used: OM-2S, 35-70mm f3.6 @35mm
Diaphragm: Not recorded
Shutter speed: Not recorded
Film used: Kodak Supra 100ASA
Technical information: Taken from very near the base on the lovely new benches that surround the monument. I was not quite on center for this shot (my wife who was next to me got slightly squarer framed shots but on B&W film). Other than that this worked as I planned (on the spot!).
Subject information: On our most recent trip to the IKEA store near Washington DC my wife and I decided to get a couple of museums in as well. This is my favourite one of all the DC monuments, the big spikey one as I call it, AKA The Washington Monument. I think that this picture captures the feeling of being near it in some ways. I have yet to venture up it but I hope to next time we are there.
